I have many reasons to be thankful. 

A wonderful family

A beautiful wife

Three lovely daughters

A progressive ministry

I am surrounded by the best of the best at my job

My friends and family are of the most genuine kind

And the list goes on….

 I ask myself on a regular basis, how can you keep up with all the good going on?  I actually sit back and wonder this often.  I have come to the conclusion that aside from God and his saving grace in my life there is one other entity that threads through all that is good in my life.

STARBUCKS!

Whatever the occasion, whoever the influence, it is Starbucks that seems to be my constant.  Every group of peoples and many social outings often will include a visit to the coffee bar.  Meetings, social gatherings, dates, a casual get together, etc etc all seem to have a coffee (Starbucks) influence.  I will quickly list 5 related Starbucks events that have taken place recently…

1.       My girls saved up for frappuccino’s and took the family in store to enjoy.

2.       Pastor Barnett takes the staff weekly to buy us coffee at Starbucks.

3.       My wife and I had a date night that took place solely at our local Starbucks.

4.       My brother and I spent a few hours catching up over a few cups in a San Diego Starbucks.

5.       The last few time I have run some “long” miles with my running group we somehow found ourselves recovering at a nearby Starbucks.

Let me come clean.  I now carry a Starbucks Gold Card because so much of my life happens in this establishment.  Do I have a problem?  I don’t think so…  Thank God for Starbucks!
